Reinhard Mantler

Reinhard Mantler is a shareholder of Kessel & Kessel GmbH. He has advised national and international top management teams in their development processes for twenty years. His clients include Dax 30 board members, management, top athletes and coaches from the the German soccer league.

Reinhard’s expertise lies in a self-developed method of making topics such as charisma, presence, collaboration, team activation and transformational leadership not only visible but also tangible through work with horses. As a former FENA western trainer and two-time Vice-European Champion in reining, Reinhard Mantlerhas many years of experience in elite sports. In his training work with high-performance horses, he has come to understand the interaction between performance, the horse and the rider’s presence. In his work with the horses, Reinhard challenges his clients to develop their excellence through direct experiences and confrontation of personal challenges.

Reinhard is the founder of the Austrian Horse Center in Wolfern, Austria and Director of Reinhard MantlerHorse-Man-Ship, a Europe-wide highly recognized horse-training organization. He has trained in the USA in natural horsemanship with Pat Parelli, Monty Roberts and other trainers. At Kessel & Kessel he completed coaching and consultant training in systemic transactional analysis. The essence of Reinhard’s work with horses in leadership development was described in Fritz Hendrich’s book “Horse Sense” (2003). In 2015, his method was the basis for an article entitled “Animal-Assisted Coaching with Transactional Analysis - The Special Effectiveness of the Use of Horses in Consulting Processes.”
